ALL-ROUND PROSE COMPETITIONS 2011
Thursday 17/02 at 6 pm. - All-round Prose Competition. The event was hosted by Boštjan Gorenc – Pižama.
The main accompanying project to Fabula 2011 festival will be the traditional literature and film weekend, i.e. the Film Fabula with the catchy All-round Prose Competitions. This time the final event will be held in Ljubljana. The best short story of All-round Prose Competitions will be awarded, and so will be the most filmic story of the competition as selected by RTV Slovenia, which bridges the gap between All-round Prose Competitions and the Film Fabula.
All-round Prose Competitions took place in five Slovenian towns, i.e.:
- on Wednesday 2 February at 7 pm in Novo mesto (Lokal Patriot)
- on Wednesday 9 February at 8 pm in Ljubljana (SEM Café)
- on Thursday 10 February at 7 pm in Koper (Dom knjige)
- on Tuesday 15 February at 6 pm in Celje (Antika Bookshop)
- on Thursday 17 February at 6 pm in Maribor (KIBLA)
All events were hosted by Boštjan Gorenc – Pižama.
The grand finale, featuring the appearance of 15 finalists selected at five pre-selections, will take place in SEM Café, Ljubljana on 13 March at 8 pm, at the same time acting as the final event of the Film Fabula, which takes place between 10 and 13 March 2011. Announced at the event will also be the author of the most filmic story and the author of the best adapted screenplay based on the best filmic story of 2010.
The Film Fabula and All-round Prose Competitions are a forerunner of Fabula 2011, which is to take place from 4 to 22 April 2011. Fabula's guests will be: César Aira (Argentina), Niccolò Ammaniti (Italy), Per Olov Enquist (Sweden), Drago Jančar (Slovenia), Margriet de Moor (the Netherlands) and Christoph Ransmayr (Austria).
