Fabula Festival presents Montenegro writer Andrej Nikolaidis On Thursday, the 25th of January at 7pm you were cordially invited to MMC Kibla, to attend the first literary evening in 2007. This time Za:misel bookstore and Fabula Festival's guest was Montenegro writer Andrej Nikolaidis.
ANDREJ NIKOLAIDIS Andrej Nikolaidis was born in Sarajevo in 1974. In 1992 his family emigrated to Montenegro because of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because of his controversial articles and political commentaries published in Monitor and Slobodna Bosna, he received many death threats. He published three novels and numerous short story collections. His second novel Mimesis that will be published in Beletrina imprint in the time of Fabula Festival is already praised in Croatia, Bosnia and among liberal Montenegro intellectuals.
About Fabula Festival: International Story Festival – Fabula took place this year between the 22nd of January and 17th of February for the 4th time in a row. It is a vast literary project focusing on story. The base of the festival is innovative and represents a new concept in Slovenian literary environment. The fourth Fabula was visited by French writer and film maker Alain Robbe-Grillet, Czech writer Miloš Urban, Catalonian author Jaume Cabre and Montenegro writer Andrej Nikolaidis.
Main topic of this year’s Fabula is the concept and the phenomena of death in contemporary society. We tried to explain the phenomena from anthropological, biological, artistic and media aspect.
For the second time Dnevnikova fabula, the award for the best short story collection was given away. We will also continue with Film fabula that took place in Postojna from the 2nd of February until the 4th of February. Short films were projected, round tables and workshops took place. Photo gallery
