Samo Resnik - book presentations and discussion

Za:misel bookstore celebrated the first spring day and the international poetry day in 2006 with the introduction of poetry collection Prijaznemu dvomu and a novel Dotiki, both by the author Samo Resnik.

Samo Resnik undoubtedly belongs to the most versatile and enigmatic people of Slovenian serious public life. After many years of his political, editorial and journalistic work and after many essays and translations, Društvo 2000 (Society 2000) published his two above mentioned works.
The novel Dotiki (Ljubljana, 2003) with the subtitle Travel story in paragraphs and four more ireverent tales decorated with Jakob Klemenčič's vignettes, is a fragmentary record about fortunes and misfortunes from the end of 20th century. Tomaž Šalamun's opinion about poetry collection Prijaznemu dvomu (Ljubljana, 2005): «the fact that these poems have survived ten years in shadow, is a great proof of how very much alive they are«.
