We cordially invite you to the solo concert Zven a.k a. ZveN by Zvezdana Novaković, which will take place on Thursday, 14 November 2024, at 7 p.m. at MMC KIBLA as part of the music cycle TOMORROW.
Zvezdana Novaković is a versatile artist and performer. Her work ranges from ethnic music to music for theater and electronically amplified experiments. In more than a decade, she has been active in numerous fields and in so many projects that it is difficult to list them all. They range from theater to performances on concert stages, from the group Laibach to the poet Svetlana Makarovič, from Bolgaria to Brazil, from ancient traditions to electronics, from puppetry to the performance masterpieces of Jernej Lorenci, from classical music to jazz, from teaching vocal techniques to studying composition and directing choirs, from national opera to alternative clubs, from storytelling to harp playing.
The common link between all this is her voice. Her sound. Zven a.k a. ZveN is Zvezdana’s solo sound performance with vocals, harp, electronics and composition. She combines this with an authentic voice and the sound of the harp, with which she builds soundscapes with electronic instruments that combine the ancient with the modern in a timeless song about the ancestors.
