You are cordially invited to join us on Thursday, 24 October 2024, at 8 p.m. at MMC KIBLA for a concert by Iztok Koren, which will take place as part of the music cycle TOMORROW.
Iztok Koren, born in Prekmurje flatland village Beltinci near the Hungarian border, a social worker by profession, is a Slovenian multi-instrumentalist currently based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He started musical path in 2000 with dynamic-playfully-melancholic post rock band ŠKM banda, continued with loud-expressive-chaotic post industrial noisecore duo Hexenbrutal, gained wider recognition with imaginary-dreamy freak folk trio Širom and is beside other occasional musical projects, during lockdown also created intimate-minimalistic-zen solo project under his name. Iztok plays banjo, gembri, balafon, kalimba, percussion, steel drum, guitar, synth and effects. Iztok plays banjo, gembri, balafon, kalimba, percussion, steel drum, guitar, synth and effects.
