You are cordially invited to a concert by the band Uršula Ramoveš and Fantje z Jazbecove grape/Lads from the Badger’s Ravine, which will take place on Friday, 25 October 2024, at 8 p.m. in MMC KIBLA as part of the TOMORROW music cycle.
The singer Uršula Ramoveš, who also leads the band Uršula Ramoveš and Fantje iz Jazbecove Grape/Lads from the Badger’s Ravine, has dedicated her creativity to setting Janez Ramoveš's poetry to music and singing it, which primarily evolves around the special, regional dialect moulded poetry. Ramoveš is the author of seven volumes of poetry and was awarded the Jenko Award for the best Slovenian poetry collection for his collection SKUZ OKN STREJLAM KURENTE (Cankarjeva Publishing House, 2011). Uršula Ramoveš’s vocals are accompanied by pianist, accordionist and singer Joži Šalej and singer and guitarist Metod Banko. The ensemble has released six albums: Sugar free baby (2006, Sanje); Na sunčn dan sm se z beciklam pelu (2003, Sanje); Staroselski ciklus (2006, Cankarjeva Publishing House); Anglčešejne (2007, Sanje); Talisman (2013, Celinka), Hribovske balade (2020, Celinka).
