KIBLIX 2024 | Music Cycle TOMORROW: bambus
Music Cycle TOMORROW: bambus Friday, 6 December 2024, at 8 p.m. MMC KIBLA
You are cordially invited to a concert by the band bambus and the presentation of their album endless conversations, which will take place on Friday, 6 December 2024, at 8 p.m. in MMC KIBLA as part of the music cycle TOMORROW.
endless conversations is a double album of poems set to music, which was released in physical form and on digital platforms in summer 2024. The texts were written by the promising young poet Alja Pušič and the talented jazz musician Gašper Drev. Gašper also wrote the music and Alja interprets the poetry. bambus is therefore half Anja and half Gašper. They perform live with an extended line-up. This makes their sound even fuller, which some would describe as a mixture of poetry and alt-rock and others as an elusive and intoxicating multi-genre expression whose indispensable components are hard metal riffs, jazz solos, improvised interventions, rap excerpts and, on the other hand, gentle piano melodies. Nothing should surprise you. You have to experience this poetry!
Released by: Center for the Poetization of the World Two Moons with the support of the Maribor Student Club (KMŠ) and the Association X-OP.
