At this year's R.o.R. Festival, which takes place from 28 September to 1 October 2023 in Nova Gorica, Tanja Vujinović is participating with three works of art created in co-production with KID KIBLA: ULTRAMONO FlowerLab (virtual world for VRChat, 2023), Oneness (Audio-visual work, 2023) and Florists (Audio-visual work, 2023). They will be on display at Xcentrum, Delpinova ulica 20, Nova Gorica, from 28 September to 30 September 2023 between 6 pm and 10 pm and on 1 October 2023 between 6 pm and 8 pm.

Tanja Vujinović is an internationally established audio-visual artist making digital worlds and electronic music active within the art world since the mid-90s. In recent years, she also began publishing her own techno tracks and DJing. Always using a lot of new media tools, she became an visual artist & soundscape composer by creating conceptual hybrid projects as metabolic spheres with many interconnected elements. She has shown these artworks at numerous prestigious and underground festivals, museums, and galleries worldwide.

ULTRAMONO “FlowerLab” unites the dynamic worlds of virtual reality and techno music in a mind-bending exploration of sci-fi, extended reality, and cyberpunk. It is a realm where reality merges with the digital and the boundaries of imagination dissolve into an immersive experience.

ULTRAMONO ART+RAVE at the “FlowerLab” is not just a music event; but a live sci-fi art game, a trip, a riddle, and an open book inviting you to explore phantasies and layers of reality. "FlowerLab" is a truly immersive odyssey where virtual relationships blossom and viral music spreads through the digital cosmos. Primordial rhythms that resonate deep lead into temporary spaces of freedom, where the real and the unreal converge.

As the living narratives unfold, you will encounter nano-organisms and ghost avatars, living beings that emerge from the very essence of data. Passion and joy emanate from the mesmerizing data transmission flows, birthing organisms that exist in the liminal spaces between noise, glitches, and intricate access calculations.

“The Oneness 一体” will be presented as an audio-visual artwork. With “The Oneness 一体”, we delve into the unknown, embrace the phantasy, and embark on a transformative journey while hearing the echoes of the soul of the machine. This artwork dives into the emotional side of this ongoing road of entanglement of people and the tools they are building. Dreaming about our extensions that will give us more of what we want - more freedom, more of ourselves improved, our body doubles that surpass our expectations. Understanding and comforting, our dream technology is always there to give us advice and provide answers, keep us company and drive us forward.

With “Florists1”/”Florists3”, peeking through the virtual windows, you'll glimpse iconic scenes from the lives of the enigmatic Florists and Pharmacists, the imaginary-real inhabitants and founders of the enigmatic FlowerLab. In this ongoing narrative, reality merges with fantasy, leaving you questioning what is truly human and what lies beyond matter.
