On Thursday, 14 October 2021, at 7 p.m., we invite you to the second Literary break-fast in season 2021. We will host the poet, fairy tale writer, storyteller, text writer, and playwright Borut Gombač, who received special awards for his work last year. The talk will be moderated by Tonja Jelen.
Borut Gombač, born 12 June 1962 in Maribor, is a poet, playwright, and writer. By profession and education, he is a librarian. Since 1992 he has been employed at the University of Maribor Library. He received the Glazer Award 2006 (for remarkable achievements in the field of literature of the Municipality of Maribor) and Veronika Prize 2020 (for best poetry collection of the year). In addition, he is a multiple-time nominee for the Prizes Desetnica and Večernica, also Večer's culturist of Styria 2020, and recipient of the University of Maribor Award for professional work 2021.
