Nina Kremžar (1993, Ljubljana) holds a bachelor's degree in English and Japanese studies, a master's degree in English and comparative literature, and is currently a doctoral student in literary studies. She is now an English teacher at one of Ljubljana's grammar schools, a passionate reader, and the editor-in-chief of the literary magazine Novi zvon. She writes prose and poetry and publishes her texts in literary magazines (Spirala, the Koridor portal, the collection Krasna nova Evropa), on web portals, and in some international journals. At the age of twenty-six, she already has many official and recognized certificates for her work. She was a finalist of the Poetry Tournament 2016. In 2018 she won at the festival of young literature Urška, so at JSKD, her poetic debut Dostop na odprto morje/Access to the Open Seas was published in Autumn 2019. In 2019 she won the title of Knight of Poetry, and with the story Jutranja kava/Morning Coffee, she won the AirBeletrina competition for the best short story three years ago.
