Winning submissions of the open call for the jubilee 10th exhibition Kinetica 2017 in London have been announced

ACE KIBLA submitted works by the artists duo Nika Oblak & Primož Novak

The works of artist duo Nika Oblak & Primož Novak were selected to the proposition of applicant and post-producer ACE KIBLA to be included at the Kinetica exhibition in London, which will take place between 17 and 19 February 2017.

Apart from the work BORDER MOVER, two other kinetic video installation will be showcased, the works SISYPHUS ACTIONS (2011), and THE BOX (2005). The work BORDER MOVER by Nika Oblak and Primož Novak was exhibited at the MIG 21 international exhibition in Maribor.

Kinetica marks its 10 year legacy as a leading platform for international new media art with a ground breaking anniversary exhibition that explores the many dimensions of illusion, transformation and metamorphosis.

Ten artists have been selected through an open call to exhibit in Kinetica’s 10 year anniversary show. The selected artists will be shown alongside some of the most renowned kinetic and new media artists working today.

The selected artists are: Philip Artus, Martin Bricelj Baraga, Scottie Chih-Chieh Huang, D-Fuse, Antal Kelle, Andy Lomas, Nika Oblak & Primož Novak, Jon Pigott, Adrian Pritchard, Stanza; other participating artists: Analema Group, Lauren Baker, Gregory Barsamian, Jenny Bennett, Ivan Black, Balint Bolygo, Lucio Cavalleri, Paul Friedlander, Jose Manuel Gonzalez, Dianne Harris, Holotronica, Jonty Hurwitz, Kimatica, Hans Kotter, Ray Lee, Chris Levine, Tim Lewis, Jiayu Liu, MDH Hologram, Andras Mengyan, Delphin Ortiz, Shama Rahman, Lionel Stocard, Trope Scope, UBIK Teatro, and Tom Wilkinson.

The anniversary exhibition will feature over 35 artists and 50 performative artworks as well as accompanying program of live performances and events. The exhibition entitled The Thin Veil will focus on what is real, perceived or imagined.

The show will take place from February 17th to 19th at the Ugly Duck building on Tanner Street, a stunning and original Victorian industrial warehouse in Bermondsey, London.
