Saturday guided tours of the exhibition KIBLIX 2020–2021: Virtual Worlds Now Saturday guided tours of the exhibition KIBLIX 2020–2021: Virtual Worlds Now 11 and 18 December at 11 a.m. KIBLA PORTAL
Since the international group exhibition KIBLIX 2020–2021: Virtual Worlds Now is extended, we are preparing two additional guided tours in December. Your guide through the exhibition will be Živa Kleindienst, who is the co-curator of the festival.
The exhibition, which is on view until 18 December 2021 at KIBLA PORTAL, the largest independent exhibition centre in Slovenia, is rounded off by 18 artistic works by internationally renowned artists. It provides a critical overview of contemporary virtual spaces through a series of innovative art research projects in the field of the latest virtual (VR), augmented (AR) and mixed reality (MR) technologies. The exhibition centres around the human experience of virtual reality – with all the material limitations and socio-political conditions that determine the body – while comprehending the virtual environments as spaces for speculative realities, variable identities, and ever more acute social transformations. The KIBLIX2021 festival’s central question, posed by the curatorial team is: which and what are the virtual worlds now?
