DigiSuperStar - creative workshop of animated short film

From 2nd till the 6th of October we organized a five day long creative workshop of animated short film DigiSuperStar in KIT Kibla, Glavni trg 14, Maribor.

Systematic approach to the basic knowledge from the field of animated film, all the way from the idea and script preparation to film directing, graphic design, sound equipment and editing. This is the goal of one week long workshop DigiSuperStar. Workshop is especially intended for students and young talents with the potential in the field of graphic design, illustration and sound environment design, for those with vivid imagination and a desire to create their own animated film.

The mentor was an acknowledged Polish director, illustrator and animator Wojtek Wawszczyk. His incredibly rich opus includes TV ad production for Disney Studios, short film production for Forrests for MTV, collaboration with famous director Joe Pytka and numerous awards on prestigious festivals around the world: Ars Electronica (Linz), Huston Film Festival, SIGGRAPH (USA), Tokio (Digital Art Festival, SICF Open Art Festival), etc.

Mentor and creative process manager in the field of sound environment was classical musician, composer, ethnomusician and sound technician Cameron Bobro. He studied in the USA (mentors:Andy Santana, Dr. John Clark, Lou Harrison, Prof. Bard Suverkrop,…) and in Austria (mentor: Wolfgang Mueller-Laurenz).
