RoboVox - winning project at Europrix Multimedia Awards 2008, category: Mobile applications

On 29th November 2008 the winners of Europrix Multimedia Awards 2008 were announced in Graz. The winning project in category Mobile applications is RoboVox.

RoboVox: Your voice! is an interactive sound installation, using SMS for general public interaction.

The purpose of RoboVox is to serve as a tool for an individual, whose voice usually gets lost in the sounds of the mass. An individual can send a text message using his mobile phone to the dedicated RoboVox's number. Upon receiving the SMS RoboVox says out loud the statement, the protest, the declaration of love, or whatever the message may read, thus lending its voice to the anonymous individual. RoboVox is designed so that it transforms any given public space into a place of play, interaction and socializing.
