The exhibition presents the creative profile of Petja Montanez and exposes the portrait of a woman, working in advertising industry that is dominated by men. How to work as a woman in such an environment and remain a woman? Through her works Petja Montanez displays a wide range of styles and proves to be a woman who can do more than what was prophesied by man. She remains daring and true to herself.
Petja Montanez (until 2001 known as Petja Selan), an art director in Publicis advertising agency, was awarded a number of prizes during the 10 years of her work in advertising. From when she graduated at the Academy of Arts in Ljubljana in 1998, she has been the constant annual recipient of awards at the Slovenian advertising festival, and also received many awards at the international advertising festival Golden Drum and at Magdalena festival. She is also the winner of an Apple at the Moscow festival and a finalist from the New York Festival, where she made it to the “Short list of entry”.
At the exhibition opening, which conicided with Kibla New Year's party, you were able to indulge in delicious nibbles made by the renowned Slovenian chef Marko Herič, with the hot atmosphere provided by DJs Immortal and Supreme FM and their wild rhythms of passion.
