Kaliyuga, Places of silence and Tribe Multivisions by Matjaž Krivic The story of our planet project that includes presentation of three multivisions: Kaliyuga, Places of silence and Tribe, by the world renowned Slovenian photographer Matjaž Krivic, present characteristics that are common in all the cultures on our planet. Multivisions composed of photos tell stories about indescribable beauties of the world. Matjaž Krivic is famous for panoramic photography that presents parts of the world where poverty rules, however traditions and religions hide exceptional beauty. He is a two time winner of the photography award Royal Geographic Society Award (2002 and 2003).
Pegla Interactive installation by Peter Tomaž Dobrila Pegla is interactive on iron based installation that with the help of a computer enables us to draw lines or create music while ironing. The iron plays the part of computer mouse, ironing surface represent the mouse pad. With this idea this artistic project stimulates men to emancipation. Pegla encourages friendship and a lust for ironing.
ABOUT KIBLA (Slovenia) Kibla is the first presentation and production institution in Slovenia and one of the first in Europe that acts in the field of multimedia an intermedia art and culture with the program through the whole year. We still include completely classical (“excluded”) media but in another context, namely with them we support the historical continuum of visual art and a bigger aesthetization and integration of electronic media. We support principles that lead towards complex systems of multimedia presentation and publish presentation material.
ABOUT MUU gallery (Finland) MUU gallery presents and promotes artists that act on various artistic fields of contemporary art, including media art, video, light and sound art, special, conceptual and environmental art and all the other fields of art that are close to visual art. By June 2006, 500 artists- members have joined MUU.
ACE KIBLA program is supported by Ministry of Culture, Municipality of Maribor and The Slovenian Office for Youth. KIBLA is a part of Multimedia Centres Net Slovenia.
