Saša Bezjak: Drawings

On Friday, the 7th of April 2006 at 8pm, KiBela gallery organised the opening of the second spring exhibition. The painter Saša Bezjak presented her drawings.

«When I first saw Saša Bezjak's newest work I was astonished to see such cheerfulness with which she speaks to the public. But after seeing her work again, I don't feel the same anymore. Its true images are composed of clear artistic elements, but the content is not at all simple… Means of expression are reduced, so these images speak to us with the help of attributes similar to the ones we can find in children's drawings, but when we become absorbed in them, we realize that we are far away from anything childlike. This is not the carefree time of childhood or daydreaming, for if it would be, this would only mean that the child has serious physical and psychical problems.« Andrej Brumen-Čop

The exhibition was opened until the 3rd of May 2006, from Monday till Friday between 9am and 10pm, on Saturday between 4pm and 10pm.
