UP - fine arts pedagogics students' exhibition

Exhibition of the Department of fine arts students (Faculty of Education, Maribor) took place from the 20th until 31st of May 2005 in KiBelA.

Organization of the exhibition: Petra Varl
Mentors: Bogo Čerin, Darko Golija, Samuel Grajfoner, Jiři Kočica, Anka Krašna, Ludvik Pandur, Oto Rimele and Petra Varl

At the opening of the exhibition, which took place on Friday, 20th of May at 8pm, Patetico music band performed and DJ David took care of alternative pop&dance music.

We have also organized a round table discussion »Academy for art in Maribor in foundation« on the 24th of May 2005 at 6pm. Round table organizers were Aristej Publishing House (Dialogi), Umetnostna galerija Maribor (Maribor Art Gallery) and ACE Kibla.

About the mentor Petra Varl:
Petra Varl belongs to the very productive and talented generation of Slovenian painters among which are: Marko Jakše, Jure Kalan, Maja Šubic, Irena Romih, etc. She has exhibited in Metelkova, Neue Galerie in Graz, Mala galerija in Ljubljana, KiBela (Homo Sapiens 3000), etc. This time she has put herself in the role of the mentor/selector/professor and has, together with ACE Kibla, prepared a very interesting exhibition of young artists from the Maribor Faculty.
