Matjaž Krivic: TRIBE

Images caught in the camera objective have invited visitors to look at them and at the world they create, on the 6th and 7th of October 2005 in KiBela.

Thursday evening was marked by Tribe photographs, documentary, portraits and scenery, the next evening a premiere of the Tribe multivision followed. Both events began at 20.00 (8pm) in the KiBela gallery in the Multimedia Centre KIBLA. Exhibition was opened until the 18th of October, the multivision was shown every day at 20.00 (8pm). »When the Earth will fall ill and all of the wild animals will disappear, the tribe of people of all the cultures that belive in actions not in words…they will restore the Earth, the tribe will be called »Rainbow Warriors«.(Hopi Indians prophecy).

Matjaž Krivic, born in 1972, is a two time winner of the London Royal Geographical Society Photographer of the Year Award (2002 and 2003)- which is the most prestigeous award in the photography. Krivic has been a traveller and a photographer for many years so his body of work is extensive. In the Multimedia Centre Kibla he has already presented himself in January 2002 with the Kaliyuga multivision and photograph exhibition and has completely enraptured Maribor public. In April 2005 this project was presented in European cultural capital Cork in Ireland. The mysticism of the journey will be alongside multivison enriched with the music of Sagar band (Nino Mureškič, Damir Višič, Igor Bezget in Tadej Kampl).
