School is cool - project presentation

Presentation of the European project School is Cool (Socrates, Leonardo, Youth) where Slovenian Institute for Adult Education Maribor –Folk University with participants from the Project learning for young adults (PUM) collaborates as a partner.

Groups of young people from fifteen European countries participated in this project. The aim of the project was to collect the young people's ideas and suggestions on how to make school more attractive or in the language of the kids more »cool«. Every group made a suitcase of knowledge with learning tools for a certain topic or school subject. The participants of the PUM programme made a suitcase on the topic of media.

The results of the work that lasted for many months have been presented on the meeting of all partners in Los Palacios (Spain). In Maribor we introduced them to the local public, especially the local schools. The presentation took place in MMC Kibla, Ulica kneza Koclja 9, on Friday, the 7th of April 2006, at 11am.
