This Tuesday's lecture presents a short introduction into why the world needs SharePoint.

SharePoint is one of the fastest growing Microsoft technologies, especially since the Microsoft Office 365. It enables simple collaboration in document management and version tracking by using familiar Microsoft office tools. At the same time the developers can use it as a platform for the development of their own solutions, with the help traditional web-based technologies and OAuth authentication mechanisms.

We will have a look at the basic uses of SharePoint both from the user's as well as the developer's perspective.
