You are kindly invited to join us on Thursday, 25 November 2021, at 8 p.m. in MMC KIBLA for the New Slovenian Music cycle, where the evening will be invigorated by Koala Voice lyricists Manca Trampuš and Domen Don Holc. This time they will present themselves in a slightly different line-up than we are used to. They will play songs from the repertoire of Koala Voice albums as well as solo material by Domen Don Holc.
Koala Voice are Manca Trampuš (movement performer, vocalist), Domen Don Holc (guitarist), Tilen Prašnikar and Miha Prašnikar. This Slovenian quartet, with their unencumbered, smashing indie punk presence full of infectious melodies and salty guitar riffs, quickly grew on the hearts of the masses, both in Slovenia and elsewhere in Europe.
Their musicality and charm also earned them a support slot with the legendary Pixies at Ljubljana's Križanke. They have also gained their audiences at major European festivals such as Liverpool Sound City, Tallinn Music Week, Bush Budapest, Pohoda, Monkey Week, Exit and Inmusic.
In the last year, they have been working on recording and producing their 4th studio album Plata, which we heard in its entirety on 25 June, and is also available on vinyl from September this year.
Manca Trampuš is the lead singer and frontwoman of Koala Voice. In the last eleven years the band has travelled almost all over Europe, some of the Balkans and the rest of the world. She can boast with four Koala Voice studio albums, and is also active as a designer, performer, dancer and actress, both in theatre performances and in her own movement-art workshops.
Domen Don Holc is a naive artist, musician and lyricist. He is best known as the guitarist of Koala Voice. He has collaborated with names such as Andrej Šifrer, Danton Supple, Thomas March Kolektiv and also works as a freelance songwriter, instrumentalist & performer, in theatre, film and photography.
