MITO feat. YNGFirefly is a Maribor-based duo, whose latest release Bratstvo in estradstvo will be presented this Friday at the MMC KIBLA as part of the music cycle New Music Slovenia 2018. The two seasoned musicians have accumulated a steady fan base and a long concert list, their appearances always full of gritty rhymes, clever wordplay and socially critical, often ambiguous lyrics. Brave urban beats and a commentary on the current social issues, in words and music.

Mito started walking his creative path in 2003 as part of a Maribor-based rap collective TEKOCHEE KRU (Šuljo, Luga, Emkej, Sniki, Stash, Gersh, Mito) that has released three albums so far: Štala v glavi (2003), Adijo stari, kaki scenarij (2007) and Sabljasti tiger (2014). With fellow artists from Maribor and Velenje he also forms part of VELEBOR (Mrigs, Ghet, Emkej, Mito), their release from 2013 titled Božja Gamad. Apart from working alongside numerous other Slovene rappers on various projects, Mito released his first solo album called EGON in 2011 (produced by Šuljo), and his second one, BRATSTVO IN ESTRADSTVO in September 2017, with younger generation producers, including Nite (Tropski&Nite), YNGFireflly, Tamau, Theejay (Wrong Idea) and Šuljo. YNGFirefly is a young Maribor-based producer/beatmaker currently collaborating with many established names of the Slovene hip-hop scene. If you are in Maribor, there is a good chance you will find YNGFirefly at the YoureUpStudio at GT22, eagerly working on some of his various projects and making sure that hip-hop stays alive in Slovenia. His music is a reflection of the times we live in, and an expression of respect for the greatest musicians of our era.
