Stane Špegel: Forest Tales / Listavci – Monom

In the beginning of September composer, instrumentalist, producer and multimedia author Stane Špegel released his seventeenth studio LP Forest Tales (vibrations of Slovene forests put into music) under the alias Monom. Stane took the positive vibrations of ten most commonly found deciduous trees in Slovenia, and sound ambiances of his homeland forests created especially for this project, and upgraded them with original chill out music and cinematic videos, in which the starring roles are played by trees, their fruits, seeds, leaves and bark. Before the end of this fall, the album Forest Tales will be released by the German
Plusquam Records Labelgroup and available on all major music-selling platforms (iTunes, Beatport, Amazon).

Stane Špegel alias Monom alias HouseMouse alias Stanislav, composer, instrumentalist, producer and author of multimedia contents, is part of the Slovenian art scene for over thirty years now. He released seventeen solo albums and eight albums as a member of different bands (The Stroj, Most, BioNet, Amfibia, Neurobic, Kissik, Fuzit). As a member of Microtrip, he appeared on all major and most important festivals of electronic and experimental music in central Europe over the past twenty years. His works have been released as part of numerous compilations both in Slovenia and abroad. He is the author of more than twenty independent music&visual performances/exhibitions, in which his sculptures, graphic works, relief landscapes and videos are accompanied by his original music. With his video works he has participated in several national and international video festivals.
