Tomaž Grušovnik is Assistant Professor and Research Associate at the Faculty of education, University of Primorska. His main areas of research include philosophy of education and environmental and animal ethics. So far he has published two monographs (in Slovene, (Odtenki zelene (Shades of Green) and Etika živali (Animal ethics)) and edited and co-edited a number of papers and essays from his areas of interest, most notably he was co-editor of Borders and Debordering (Lexington, 2018). He was a Fulbright visiting colleague, guest lecturer at the Center for Development and the Environment, University of Oslo, and receiver of the awards Glasnik znanosti awarded by the Science and Research Center of the University of Primorska and the charter awarded by the Faculty of Education to young university and higher education teachers From 2016 he has been vice president of the Slovene national commission for handling genetically modified organisms.
