We cordially invite you to attend a literary evening with Veronika Dintinjana on Wednesday, 20 December 2017, at 7 p. m. at the MMC KIBLA in Maribor. Join us for a discussion with this year's Jenko Award winner, co-organizer of the Young Rhymes (Mlade rime) poetry readings, translator, poet, and this year's nominee for the Veronika Award. Between light and darkness. Between the image of a poem and a subtle interpretation of poetry.
The discussion will be moderated by Tonja Jelen. The event is admission free.
Veronika Dintinjana (1978, Ljubljana) is a doctor, organizer of literary events, translator and poet. Her interest as a translator is contemporary and 20th century North American and Irish poetry. Her poetry collection Rumeno gori grm forzicij (Yellow Burns the Forsythia Bush) was published by Literatura in 2008 and received the Best First Book award at the 24th Slovenian Book Fair. Her second collection V suhem doku (In a Dry Dock), published by Literatura in 2016, received the Jenko Award and was nominated for the Veronika Award. Her poems are included in the anthology 75 pesmi od Dekleve do Peratove (75 Poems from Dekleva to Perat), published by Litera in 2013. In 2008 she won the Maribor poetry tournament and the 6th Ljubljana Poetry Slam, winning the title Dame of Poetry.

Literary evenings held this December at the MMC Kibla are part of the project Other words and offer an interesting selection of mostly middle-generation Slovenian authors.
