Negova Castle

The herbalists' holiday is here again! This year you will be able to experience a herbalist market, exciting presentations by established experts, a culinary workshop, a performance of the castle lordship, a children's program, and a music performance.

Visit us at the Negova Castle on Sunday, 24 April 2022, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will take place in any weather. Entry is free of charge.

PROGRAM

10 a.m.–5 p.m.        Herb market:  seedlings and seeds of herbs, accessories for herb cultivation, use of herbs to strengthen health, for well-being, in culinary and care (teas, creams, salts, tinctures, inhalers, flower essences, spreads, cakes, beverages)
                                Travelling herbalist (children's animation, Kata Laštro)
                                 Exhibition of children's drawings (Angel Besednjak elementary school)
                                 Apolonija's Corner

10:30–11:30 a.m.    Herbs as an important pillar of self-sufficiency with dietary supplements and home remedies (Sanja Lončar, presentation)
11 a.m.–1 p.m.         Castle soup from the cauldron (TD Negova – Sp. Ivanjci)
11:30 a.m.–12 p.m.  Musical performance by the local band Bosi
12–3 p.m.                 Herb harvesting and culinary workshop with Dr Katja Rebolj (wild plant harvester and researcher working with top chefs and restaurants)
1–2 p.m.                   Herbs for well-being (Vesna Golob, presentation)
3–3:30 p.m.              Guided tour of the castle (5 €/person)
3:30–4:30 p.m.         How to prepare an air freshener for well-being (presentation of ZKTR Rogatec)
4–5 p.m.                   Herb workshop for children (Kata Laštro)
4:30–5 p.m.              Musical performance by the local band Bosi
