Herb Day: NEGOVAnJE 2021 – Spring

On Sunday, 27 June 2021, we invite you to the traditional spring festival Herb Day, which will take place between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Negova Castle. Admission is free.

PROGRAM

8–9.30 a.m. Arrival and registration of participants at the stand of the Tourist Information Center Negova Castle
10–10.15 a.m. Welcome by the organizer and brief presentation of the program
10 a.m.–5 p.m. Apollonia's corner (photo backdrop, sale of souvenirs and drinks TIC Negova Castle)
10 a.m.–5 p.m. Ruritage Project - Heritage for Rural Regeneration (stand Kultprotur)
10 a.m.–5 p.m. Waffles, ice cream and coffee (Mojster Vafelj/Master Waffle)

10 a.m.–5 p.m. Herb Market
aids for raising herbs, use of herbs to enhance health, well-being, in cuisine and care (teas, creams, salts, tinctures, inhalations, flower essences, spreads, pastries, smoothies)

Presentations and workshops, animation for children:
10–11.30 a.m. Herbs for the well-being of vegetables (Miša Pušenjak, presentation).
11.30 a.m.–2.30 p.m. Herb harvesting and culinary workshop with Brigita Čufar
12–2 p.m. Castle soup from the cauldron (TD Negova - Sp. Ivanjci)
12.30–1 p.m.  Guided tour of the castle
2–3 p.m. Show with the castle dominion in medieval costumes (TD Negova - Sp. Ivanjci)
2.30–3 p.m. Stress management with nature (Vesna Golob, presentation)
3–4 p.m. Dandelion: remedy, weed or more? (dr. Janko Rode, presentation)
3–3.35 p.m. Stories of the meadow - performance for children
4–4.45 p.m. Meet the herbs - Apolonija's herbal workshop for children (MD Vitez Negova)
4.30 p.m. Tadej Vesenjak - musical performance
