Tuesday, 21 May 2013 at 8pm, at KiBela, space for art, Multimedia center KIBLA, Maribor
You are kindly invited to attend the exhibition opening I FEEL CITY! of students from Central St. Martins College of Art & Design (CSM), London, on Tuesday, 21 May 2013 at 8pm, at KiBela, space for art, Multimedia center KIBLA.
Who does the city belong to? / My city, my home! / New eco-urban systems of European cities / Co-creation of cultural contents / Ecology / Self-supply of city communities / Participatory democracy /
The exhibition is a showcase of CSM students’ two-year work, as well as their mentors’ and colleagues’, in four European cities: London (UK), Maribor (SI), Jesolo (IT) and Prague (CZ).
We have joined forces in exploring how transdisciplinary art research and methodology can contribute to enrich the urban dimension. During the working process, i.e. the research, investigation and observation of target areas for the acquisition of knowledge and users’ needs in the above cities, we have created the conditions for workshops and creative labs, to develop visions and urban art interventions, which have been conducted in public places in 2012.
The exhibition thus showcases the working process – from developing visions to the realization of urban art interventions.
