EU-PA, Mapping, Jesolo, Italy, July 2–6, 2012EU-PA: mapping in Jesolo, Italy, in the beginning of July 2012 www.comune.jesolo.ve.it The resort currently attracts around 7 million visitors each year during the summer season. However, Jesolo is currently undergoing a process of urban reorganisation and reassessment. World-renowned city planners and international architects such as Meyer, Nouvel and Hadid, are working side by side with local architects under the supervision of municipal administrators. The global revitalisation of Jesolo is central to the Municipality’s aims for its urban rejuvination. This welcoming seaside town prepares to become a modern European City Beach – a destination where it is possible to live all year round with the utilities and comforts of the city, but with the climate, relaxation and entertainment that only a coastal resort can offer. The Municipality of Jesolo is dedicated to raising awareness of EU policies in connection with the Cultural Office, whose shared mission is the internationalisation of the city. Programme
