ACE Kibla among the winners of the European Seal of E-Excellence, awarded by the European Multimedia Forum Brussels/Hannover, 4 March 2008
For the sixth consecutive year, the European Multimedia Forum (EMF) and its national & regional partner associations distinguish leading European and non-European ICT companies with the European Seal of E-Excellence. The European Seal of E-Excellence rewards ICT and digital media companies with an excellent track record in innovativeness of the products / services as well as excellence in the marketing. Past winners included Alcatel Space, Amadeus, Brainstorm Multimedia, EVS, Navicore, Nokia, OpenBC, Strato, Young Digital Planet, Zanox and many more. In 2008, 39 companies from 13 countries appear on the list of Platinum, Gold and Silver Seal winners, ACE Kibla having won the Silver Seal as well. The Award Ceremony tok place on Tuesday 4 March 2008, at 16.30 at CeBIT in Hannover at the occasion of Europe's largest ICT fair. Dejan Pestotnik received the award on behalf of ACE KIBLA. In the beginning of March, KIBLA received a seal of excellence in multimedia at Ce-BIT fair. The European Seal of E-Excellence was awarded by the European Multimedia Forum (EMF) who has, together with its national & regional partner associations, distinguished leading European and non-European ICT companies for the sixth consecutive year.
The press conference had three main topics:
1. We have published a new programme book KIBLA 2008 and started a new way of presenting our programmes, some of which have already happened.
2. Festival of love – taking place for the first time from 28th to 30th March 2008 in Svečina and Zgornja Kungota - will have a particular focus on literature, yet other types of art that are close to the theme will be given space as well. It will commence with the opening of Mateja Kavčič exhibition, while the list of guests for this year includes Feri Lainšček, Nina Kokelj, Vinko Möderndorfer, Gal Gjurin, Miha Mazzini, Tomaž Pengov, Aleš Hadalin, Irena Mihelič, Blažka Müller Pograjc, Anica Horvat, Eva Kovač, Beno Soršak, Folke Tegetthoff and Svečina winemakers vocal nonet. Until 2012, when Maribor and its partner cities are the European Capital of Culture, the festival is planned to be established as a traditional literary event in Slovenia, gradually acquiring an international air.
3. From our upcoming programmes: a) group exhibition Areas of Conflu(X)ences – Območja stekanja KIBLA has been a partner in the programme European Capital of Culture 2007 – Sibiu and Luxemburg.
